Flathead County sheriff
A 25-year-old man on a cell phone called 911 about 10 p.m. Monday from the Kila area claiming he had been shot and was running. Flathead County Sheriff's deputies responded and searched the area Monday night and Tuesday, but were unable to find him - despite contacting numerous family members. The incident is still under investigation.
Bigfork residents had been gone for several weeks when a neighbor noticed a light on at their house, which was secure when deputies arrived.

Kalispell police
A Sixth Avenue West woman told Kalispell police she thought she heard someone moving around in the trailer parked in her yard. Responding officers freed the cat inside.
Police are investigating a series of break-ins to vehicles on Sixth Avenue West, Fifth Avenue West, Second Avenue West, and Third Avenue East, and Sunnyside Drive. The vehicles were both locked and unlocked, but valuables often were left in plain sight. Some of them had windows busted out. Items taken included cash, purses, a laptop, and possibly a pistol.
A man and woman on Rosewood Drive got into an argument while he moved his stuff out. The woman was advised to leave until he finished.
