Rodney Allen Nelson, 52, passed away on Monday, Nov. 2, 2009, at his residence as a result of an accidental fire. He was born on May 25, 1957, in Bottineau, N.D., to Oscar Melvin and Zelda Celeste (Anseth) Nelson. Rodney was a giver and an animal lover. He stood up for anything that he believed in. Rodney was preceded in death by his mother. He is survived by his father, Oscar Nelson, of Nampa, Idaho; a brother, Roger Nelson, of Kalispell; his brother Roger s children, Kevin Nelson and family, of Fort Lee, Va., Kara and family of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Karla and family of California, Krista and family, and Karrie and family, both of Idaho Falls; sister, Vicky Hannon, and husband, Tim, and their children, James, Jessica and Timmy, all of Kalispell; and many other relatives from Idaho, North Dakota and Canada. Memorial services for Rodney will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 7, in the Johnson-Gloschat Funeral Chapel. A reception will follow at the Calvary Lutheran Church with potluck.
