Verda Mae Robertson, 88

Verda Mae Robertson, 88, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2009, at the Heritage Place in Kalispell. She was born on July 30, 1921, in Kalispell to Louis and Caroline (Wilhelm) Fry. Verda received her early education in Kalispell, graduating from Flathead County High School. She met Vose Adam Robertson and they were married on Sept. 1, 1940, in Missoula. She loved any type of handcraft and spent many hours sewing. She also enjoyed her flower gardens. Verda began working for Valley Bank as a teller and retired over 20 years later as the head cashier. Verda was preceded in death by her husband, Vose; a son, Tracy; and a brother, Fred Fry. She is survived by her foster son, Fred Farrell, of Greenville, N.C.; a sister, Carol Sloan, and husband, Tom, of Kalispell; and two brothers, Burt Fry of Coquille, Ore., and Don Fry of Kalispell.
