Flathead County sheriff

An Evergreen principal called Flathead County Sheriff's deputies after finding a 7-year-old boy with a suitcase walking down the side of West Reserve Drive about 1:15 a.m. Saturday. Turns out the boy had had enough with a sleepover and decided to leave.

The driver of a pickup truck in the KM Ranch Road area allegedly was spotlighting animals, but lost game wardens after a short pursuit and before deputies arrived.

A student's phone was reported stolen at an Evergreen middle school. It was returned, but with nude photos of another student.

Deputies responded to a bar on U.S. 2 and Montana 40 after an intoxicated woman driving through the parking lot allegedly hit another woman's car. An argument ensued. The suspect drove off, but later was arrested on suspicion of DUI.

Authorities involved parents in an altercation between two girls in the Hungry Horse area. One girl allegedly left the other threatening messages.

Deputies were asked to pick up a Castle View Road man for a mental health evaluation because he reportedly sleeps with a gun and had threatened to kill his neighbors.

No one was injured when a man rear-ended a deputy on Montana 35 in Evergreen. The man who caused the crash, however, was arrested on suspicion of DUI.

Deputies were called to break up an argument, reportedly over money, between a man and woman on Bay Drive in Bigfork. The woman is accused of hitting the man and using a knife to cut up his belongings. Authorities arrested the man for failing to appear at an immigration hearing.

A Spring Prairie Road parent suspects their daughter of stealing their ATM card.

Deputies received 123 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Friday and 3:30 p.m. Saturday.

Kalispell police

The bouncer at a Second Street East bar required Kalispell police to remove two argumentative men who didn't want to leave. Both were cited for failure to disperse.

An intoxicated man on First Avenue East allegedly made obscene hand gestures and used profanity. He denied the behavior.

Someone is using a Kalispell-area resident's credit card in four different states.

A man reported his truck stolen from the parking lot of an Airport Road apartment complex, but also told officers his father may have it.

The screen was removed from the window of a home on Northern Light Boulevard, and the owner was afraid someone may have gotten inside.

A bicycle left in an alley off Third Avenue East was run over and destroyed, possibly on purpose.

Officers arrested a man for disorderly conduct after a fight behind an East Idaho Street restaurant.

Several minors were arrested for possession of alcohol after officers responded to Fifth Avenue East.

Officers received 72 calls for service between 2:30 p.m. Friday and 2:30 p.m. Saturday.

Whitefish police

Whitefish police arrested a 21-year-old man on suspicion of DUI, driving without a valid license, and driving without insurance during a traffic stop on First Street and Central Avenue.

Officers received 25 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Friday and 3:30 p.m. Saturday.

Columbia Falls police

Columbia Falls police arrested a 51-year-old man on suspicion of DUI during a traffic stop on U.S. 2 near the Flathead River bridge.

Officers received 36 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Friday and 3:30 p.m. Saturday.

Alarms

The Somers Fire Department extinguished a fire in a trash bin on Blacktail Road.

The Smith Valley Fire Department responded to a three-car crash on U.S. 2, but no one was seriously injured.

No one was around a car that crashed in a Bigfork parking lot. But the Bigfork Fire Department was paged out because the car's airbags deployed and it appears the driver, who may have been nearby, was injured.

The Evergreen Fire Department responded to Dogwood Avenue after a bathroom fan caught fire.

The Columbia Falls Fire Department responded to the dumpster site after smoke was seen coming from it.
