Corinne (Barnard) Bronson, 85

Corinne (Barnard) Bronson, 85, passed away Friday, Nov. 6, 2009, at the Marias Medical Center in Shelby. Corinne was born April 9, 1924, to Raymond and Florence Barnard in Kevin. When she was 2 years old, the family moved to Kalispell, where she graduated from Flathead County High School in 1941. Corinne then moved to Seattle where she was employed at Boeing as a Rosie the Riveter during World War II. She returned to the Flathead Valley in 1943. Corinne had a great love of animals, especially horses. She spent many years working on ranches and traveling the backcountry of Montana. Ranching was her passion. Corinne was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Harry, Hal and Ben; and husbands, Fred Rowell, Fred Grob and Art Nutting. She was also preceded by her beloved Tennessee Walker horse, Tamarlane D. Corinne is survived by her daughters, Jami Nutting Hart, Jo Ann Grob Adams and Betty Grob Turner; and also two nieces, Janet and husband Ed Lasater, and Patti and husband Glen Harvey. Graveside services for Corinne will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 12, at Glacier Memorial Gardens.
