One of the best scoring tandems ever in Class A soccer headlines this year’s end-of-season honors list.

Libby’s Anna Valentine and Jaime Gilden were named all-state after leading the Lady Loggers to the state championship game and a perfect regular-season record. Valentine, a senior, had 15 goals and 14 assists, and earned her second-straight all-state selection. Gilden, a junior, was Class A’s scoring leader with 19 goals and also had four assists to grab her second-straight all-state honor.

Senior Kaila Forester also earned top honors for Libby (13-1-0), who narrowly lost 4-2 to Billings Central in a double-overtime championship finale at home on Nov. 1.

Whitefish senior Megan Apple earned all-state for the Lady Bulldogs, who finished second in Northwestern A with a 6-4-2 overall record and 5-3-0 record in conference. Whitefish lost in the semifinals to eventual champ Billings Central.

Columbia Falls (6-4-1, 4-3-1) had a pair of all-state selections — senior McKenzie Reeve and sophomore McKenzie Kiser.

Bigfork junior Caitlin Charlebois was named all-state for the second year in a row for the Valkyries (2-8-1, 2-5-1).

For boys, the state runner-up Whitefish Bulldogs (10-4-1) had two all-state selections — seniors Travis Adams and Matt Danczyk. Adams was the second leading scorer in Class A with 12 goals and also had five assists. Whitefish lost to Billings Central 5-1 in the title game at home on Oct. 31. Adams scored the lone goal for Whitefish in that game off an assist from Danczyk.

Bigfork senior Alec MacCallum grabbed top honors after tallying 11 goals and six assists this season for the Vikings (2-8-2, 2-7-0).

Libby seniors Lewis Brossman and Nick Reny claimed all-state recognition after leading the Loggers to the playoffs a year after winning the state championship. Libby (10-4-0, 6-2-0) lost 2-1 on the road to Billings Central in the semifinals.

Jonah Barta and Peter Hanson, both seniors, earned all-state for Polson (7-4-1, 5-2-1).
