Flathead County sheriff

A woman called Flathead County Sheriff’s deputies from a field in the Valley View Drive area to report she was lost. She was found and taken to the hospital with a cut leg.

Deputies responded to Park Avenue after a woman reported being assaulted. She allegedly was punched.

A man, reportedly with a gun, got into an argument with a Hungry Horse resident, then took off driving. He was located and arrested on suspicion of DUI.

Two shots were heard in the Auction Road area, but all authorities found was a car with a busted window.

A West Evergreen Drive woman told deputies her downstairs neighbor came into her apartment without being invited inside and accused her of stomping on the floor.

Someone driving down Dern Road ran into a fence and then took out a mailbox.

A Rhodes Draw woman wanted deputies to check out the van parked suspiciously in her front yard. She reportedly didn’t know who the van belongs to or why it was there.

Two kids allegedly punched another person’s cousin near an Evergreen Drive church.

An inebriated woman allegedly caused an altercation that damaged a door on South Mountain View Drive.

Deputies received 143 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Wednesday and 3:30 p.m. Thursday.

Kalispell police

Kalispell police responded to a classroom at Flathead Valley Community College after someone threw chemicals all over the darkroom. Someone suspected some kids, who allegedly had been throwing rocks at the building earlier.

A man who came in demanding information from employees at the front desk of a U.S. 93 South business was asked not to return.

Someone reportedly approached a Liberty Street woman’s son and offered him a ride. She thought this was suspicious and called police.

About $150 in cash was taken from a wallet at a health center off U.S. 93 North.

The window to a room in a motel off U.S. 93 South was pried open and items left inside were reported missing.

Officers arrested a man on suspicion of DUI and his passenger, a woman, for having an open container of alcohol during a traffic stop on West Montana Street.

A 10th Avenue West resident heard a neighbor screaming for help and notified police. Officers separated two people arguing.

In what was reported as an ongoing problem, a Second Avenue East North resident’s car was egged. And the air was let out of the tires.

Officers received 79 calls for service between 2:30 p.m. Wednesday and 2:30 p.m. Thursday.

Whitefish police

Whitefish police responded early Thursday morning to a fight behind a Central Avenue bar.

Officers received 32 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Wednesday and 3:30 p.m. Thursday.

Columbia Falls police

Columbia Falls police received 33 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Wednesday and 3:30 p.m. Thursday.

Alarms

The Evergreen Fire Department responded to an area off U.S. 2 after a man injured himself while working on a car. He was taken to Kalispell Regional Medical Center.

Firefighters with the Big Mountain Fire Department were dispatched to deal with what were reported as unattended slash piles burning in the Northern Lights Drive area.

The Kalispell Fire Department responded to Beargrass Lane after an 18-month old child, who was in the tub, got locked in the bathroom.

The Kalispell Fire Department responded Thursday afternoon to a crash on U.S. 93 in which four people were injured.
