Flathead County sheriff

Flathead County Sheriff’s deputies are conducting extra patrol in the Many Lakes Drive area after parents called to report their 4-year-old had seen a man peeking in the bedroom window. Footprints were discovered.

A man and his mother-in-law hunting near Blankenship Road got separated in the woods. He reported her missing, but she turned up unharmed.

Firewood and a trailer went missing on U.S. 2. A returning member of the military reported his computer stolen.

A Kokanee Bend woman complained about two men shooting in an unsafe manner. They reportedly were aiming toward her house.

The grandparents of three children — aged 16, 10 and 9 — called deputies after the kids wouldn’t stop hitting each other and refused to go to their rooms.

After allegedly getting spit on, a 10-year-old girl kicked the culprit in the chin. The school agreed to handle the matter internally.

Three youth spotted walking on the railing of a bridge over Ashley Creek were gone when deputies arrived.

Deputies responded to the Bigfork area after a man reported being beat up by his intoxicated wife. She left in a car, but was returned to the residence and the situation was settled.

A Middle Road resident heard something hit their house, but was unable to find any damage.

Deputies received 147 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Thursday and 3:30 p.m. Friday.

Kalispell police

Kalispell police responded to Vista Loop after a resident, who found a loose dog, refused to return the animal to its owner because she thought it had been abused. The dog, it turns out, was not mistreated and the woman was counseled.

Someone at a First Avenue West motel told officers an acquaintance stole their food stamp card.

Police responded to crashes Thursday afternoon at the intersections of East Idaho and Main streets and Fifth Avenue West and Montana Street. No one involved suffered serious injuries.

Cash allegedly was stolen out of a wallet in a locker at a health club off U.S. 93 North.

Officers responded to the same health club less than two hours later when someone smashed holes in the wall and sprayed something from an aerosol can all over the locker room.

The owner of a car on Buffalo Hill Drive wouldn’t let the repo man leave with it, so he called police.

A Carnegie Drive woman’s daughter allegedly is harassing her about the return of her boyfriend’s stuff, which was left at her residence. He’s currently incarcerated.

Officers received 69 calls for service between 2:30 p.m. Thursday and 2:30 p.m. Friday.

Whitefish police

Whitefish police recovered a rifle from an area driveway even before the firearm was reported stolen.

Officers received 35 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Thursday and 3:30 p.m. Friday.

Columbia Falls police

Columbia Falls police received 27 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Thursday and 3:30 p.m. Friday.

Alarms

Paramedics with Three Rivers EMS were paged out Thursday afternoon to a crash on Seventh Avenue West.

The Kalispell Fire Department and Evergreen Fire Department were paged out to a crash in front of the post office on First Avenue West. No one involved suffered life-threatening injuries.
