Geoff Hogan, a 2007 Flathead High School graduate, made his starting debut for Tulane University’s basketball team Friday night against No. 21 Georgetown.

Hogan, a 6-foot-6, 220-pound junior forward, scored two points in a 74-58 nonconference loss. It was the season opener for both teams.

Hogan was 0-for-1 from the field, but went 2-for-2 at the free throw line. He was one of eight players to score for the Green Wave.

Georgetown, up by five at the half 32-27, outscored Tulane 42-31 in the second half.

Greg Monroe had game-highs of 18 points and 11 rebounds to lead Georgetown. Kevin Richard paced Tulane with 15 points.

Hogan was not listed as a probable starter for the contest earlier in the week, but was a late addition to the lineup.

On Monday, Hogan shared the team lead in rebounding with five in a 78-64 exhibition victory over Loyola.
