Flathead County sheriff

Flathead County Sheriff’s deputies responded to West Cottonwood Drive after a resident called authorities to report that a bullet had been shot through a window of the home and exited through another.

A woman reported an assault that began when she was 3. She’s reportedly now 30. Turns out she was at the hospital and upset about a reduction in her medication.

Someone egged a car on Pheasant Road. In an unrelated incident, a house on West Evergreen Drive also was egged.

A Park Avenue woman told deputies her husband pushed her and held her down on the couch.

Four teens tossing a football and leaning against cars in an Evergreen parking lot were told to move along.

Deputies arrested a Lower Valley Road man on suspicion of partner assault after he allegedly pushed a woman to the ground and then began trashing the house.

A man allegedly produced a rifle and threatened to use it during an altercation at a Sherman Road barbecue. Alcohol was involved. Also, a woman fell down.

Someone wearing a mask reportedly looked into a Riley Lane resident’s window then ran away.

Partygoers got into a scuffle on Trumble Creek Road. A man reportedly involved was given a ride to a nearby convenience store.

Deputies received 140 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Friday and 3:30 p.m. Saturday.

Kalispell police

An Eighth Avenue West man told Kalispell police his girlfriend punched him in the face, kicked him in the groin, then tried to take the kids.

Officers responded to Second Street West after a man called to complain that the woman he has a restraining order against showed up and was knocking at his door.

An Empire Loop boy sent a text message to a friend reporting that his dad threw a woman against the wall, and that his stepmother threatened to kill his dad. The friend called police, who arrested the man on suspicion of partner assault.

Five people in a car allegedly tried to run over a pedestrian in the parking lot of a First Avenue East grocery store.

An object was thrown at a car driving down U.S. 93 North, damaging it. The driver didn’t know what was tossed or who did it.

Two kids walking in the Vista Loop area reportedly tried to hide a baseball bat they were carrying. This struck an observer as suspicious and police were called, but the kids had gone when they arrived.

Officers responded to an East Idaho Street grocery store after a man kept trying to beg pills off pharmacy customers. He said he was going through withdrawal.

An extremely intoxicated woman found sleeping on the back porch of a Seventh Avenue West home was taken to the hospital.

Officers received 69 calls for service between 2:30 p.m. Friday and 2:30 p.m. Saturday.

Whitefish police

Whitefish police arrested a 25-year-old man on suspicion of disorderly conduct after he allegedly caused a scene at a U.S. 93 bowling alley. He reportedly was loud, obnoxious and refused to leave.

Officers received 34 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Friday and 3:30 p.m. Saturday.

Columbia Falls police

Columbia Falls police received 22 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Friday and 3:30 p.m. Saturday.

Alarms

The Olney Fire Department and Whitefish Fire Department responded to a crash on U.S. 93 near the Lincoln County line. A car reportedly overturned. Injured occupants were taken to the hospital.

The Coram Fire Department, Canyon Quick Response Unit, and Three Rivers EMS responded to a rollover crash near mile marker 154 on U.S. 2. A man hurt his shoulder.

The Kalispell Fire Department was dispatched Saturday afternoon to reports of smoke in the Second Avenue East area. Turns out it was coming from a small controlled burn in someone’s back yard.
