Flathead County sheriff

A woman in the Evergreen area reportedly yelled at another woman and pulled her hair, but the alleged victim elected not to pursue charges when Flathead County Sheriff’s deputies arrived.

A Lake Drive woman heard a dog barking. Then a gunshot. Then the dog stopped barking.

Two bicycles were stolen Monday evening on Tamarack Lane. An ax went missing on U.S. 2.

Signs marking private property off Star Meadows Road as off limits to hunters reportedly were stolen. 

Horses got loose on Montana 35 near Many Lakes Drive. Stray dogs were reported on Pavilion Hill Road.

A Stillwater Loop resident requested deputies check out the occupants of a vehicle that circled the area several times in just a few minutes.

Three men reportedly took a crow bar to a soda machine off Montana 35, but fled before authorities arrived.

A Flathead County resident called deputies to check on a stolen rifle. It reportedly went missing 10 years ago, and the owner was trying to find out what had become of it.

Someone allegedly stole a car right off the lot of an East Idaho Street car dealership.

Deputies received 127 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Monday and 3:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Kalispell police

Kalispell police are investigating a string of vehicle break-ins that occurred Monday night. Binoculars and medication were stolen from a car on Bluestone Drive, and binoculars were taken from an unlocked truck on Seventh Avenue West. A window was busted out of a car on Liberty Street and clothes went missing. Car windows also were smashed on Hawthorne Drive, Appleway Drive, and 10th Avenue West.

A man walking down North Meridian Road with two shotguns was gone when officers arrived.

Someone reportedly egged a South Woodland Drive residence sometime Monday.

A passer-by was concerned that a man riding a tricycle down Third Avenue East North might veer out into traffic.

Officers were called to remove a belligerent man from a clubhouse on Railroad Street.

Four or five shots were heard on Third Avenue East North, but officers were unable to find anything suspicious.

A man recently released from jail claimed that people in the Second Avenue East North area were trying to cause a problem.

Officers received 86 calls for service between 2:30 p.m. Monday and 2:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Whitefish police

Whitefish police received 32 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Monday and 3:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Columbia Falls police

Columbia Falls police are investigating reports that washing machines on Eighth Avenue East North were vandalized.

A 21-year-old woman previously kicked out of a Nucleus Avenue grocery store returned, and so was arrested for trespassing.

Officers received 18 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Monday and 3:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Alarms

Firefighters with the Bigfork Fire Department were paged out to area soccer fields after a grass fire was reported nearby. Turns out it was a controlled burn.

The Badrock Fire Department and Three Rivers EMS responded to Hellman Lane to treat a person having an allergic reaction to food. The patient was taken to North Valley Hospital.

The Creston Fire Department extinguished a fire in a Montana 35 home that reportedly had filled the residence with smoke.

The Kalispell Fire Department responded to Woodland Park Drive for a busted gas line. The incident closed vehicle access to Woodland Park for several hours.

The Whitefish Fire Department responded to U.S. 93 after a tree fell across power lines near the golf course.
