A Flathead County Sheriff’s deputy left a note on a man’s door asking him to contact law enforcement. The man then called the sheriff’s office, threatening the deputy if he returned.

The mother of a woman reportedly staying at a motel off U.S. 93 South called Kalispell police after her daughter text-messaged that her boyfriend had threatened to kill her and hide the body.

Two teenage boys on Fourth Avenue West allegedly took a swing at another boy, whose mother called police.
A man reportedly was discovered sleeping in the basement of a South Main Street church.
Officers were called to remove a man from a woman’s Third Street West residence, but he left before they arrived. He later returned and the woman again called police because she was afraid he would vandalize her car.
While an Empire Loop woman was out, her husband apparently showed up at the house and took a bunch of stuff.
A Northern Lights Boulevard resident called police after a man came to the door demanding $10 because he had accidentally raked part of the yard. He also said he would accept a check.
Tires were stolen from a garage on Eighth Avenue West. A purse was taken from a car on Liberty Street.
A man allegedly showed up at his ex-wife’s Sixth Avenue East North residence and refused to leave. The pair had been arguing over child-custody papers.

Whitefish police
Whitefish police arrested a 22-year-old man after he allegedly broke the front window of a downtown bar during an altercation. He subsequently had a quarrel with responding officers, also breaking a window at the police station. The man has been arrested on suspicion of two counts of assault on a police officer, a third assault charge, criminal mischief, disorderly conduct, and drug offenses.
Officers received 30 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Tuesday and 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Columbia Falls police talked to two teen-agers about the alleged theft of paintball guns from a garage in early October.
