Flathead County sheriff

Five men who showed up at a Bigfork casino weren’t acting suspiciously, but an onlooker had a gut feeling they were up to no good and notified Flathead County Sheriff’s deputies.

A Jellison Road woman requested that deputies come speak with her out-of-control 15-year-old daughter.

Deputies responded to a home on U.S. 93 South after a man allegedly struck a resident across the face during an argument. Alcohol was involved in the incident.

A Bald Rock Road man called deputies to ask about the recourse available to him after his soon-to-be ex-wife called saying he couldn’t come home and she was going to lock him out of the house. 

Tools were reported stolen from a garage on Goat Trail near Whitefish. Items were shoplifted from a Woodland Park Drive convenience store.

A Cougar Trail couple got into a heated argument over the nonpayment of certain bills. Deputies responded to keep the peace.

Custody issues were the reported cause of an altercation between a man and woman on West Cottonwood Drive. The man allegedly pushed the woman around and yelled at her.

Someone driving down U.S. 2 reportedly was paying more attention to their book than the road.

Deputies received 133 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Thursday and 3:30 p.m. Friday.

Kalispell police

Kalispell police were asked to remove an intoxicated man, who reportedly had urinated on himself, from the library.

An onlooker afraid that boys using shovels to dig in a vacant lot on Bluestone Drive would rupture a gas line called police, who determined that the boys’ behavior was harmless.

The door to an unoccupied home on Northern Lights Boulevard was found open, prompting a real estate agent to call police.

A Third Avenue East woman whose ex-boyfriend is in jail believes he is having other people stalk her.

Furnishings were reported stolen Thursday from an apartment on Third Avenue East.

A Liberty Street woman told officers she thought there was someone messing around with her front door.

Tools were stolen from a truck on Sixth Avenue East and medication was taken from a home on Sixth Avenue West. A leaf blower and gas can went missing from a Fourth Avenue East garage.

Officers received 66 calls for service between 2:30 p.m. Thursday and 2:30 p.m. Friday.

Whitefish police

Whitefish police responding to Edgewood Drive arrested a 30-year-old man on a county warrant for probation violation and a city warrant for contempt of court.

Officers noticed a 21-year-old man with a suspended license driving a motorcycle down U.S. 93 and pulled him over. It turns out the man had a set of brass knuckles on his person, so he was arrested for carrying a concealed weapon.

Officers received 24 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Thursday and 3:30 p.m. Friday.

Columbia Falls police

Columbia Falls police are investigating reports that items were stolen from vehicles on 11th Street West and Fourth Avenue West.

Someone appears to have walked down U.S. 2 Thursday night while throwing rocks through businesses’ windows. Officers received eight reports of vandalism in connection with the incident.

Officers received 24 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Thursday and 3:30 p.m. Friday.

Alarms

The West Valley Fire Department responded to what turned out to be a controlled burn on West Valley Drive.

The Evergreen Fire Department and Kalispell Fire Department were paged out to a rollover crash on U.S. 2 near Glacier Park International Airport.

One adult and four children inside with injuries were taken to Kalispell Regional Medical Center.
