Flathead County sheriff

Employees of an Evergreen towing company allegedly cleaned out a vehicle and returned all the items to the owner except his medical marijuana. He called Flathead County Sheriff’s deputies to report it missing.

Residents of a building on Montana 35 called authorities after hearing a racket in a neighboring apartment. Deputies ended up arresting a man for violating a restraining order.

Someone in a light-colored pickup truck stole about half a cord of wood from a Lakeside resident.

A man reportedly tried to force his way into the room of a building on Montana 35, so the man inside pulled a pistol. The would-be intruder decided to go.

Two pistols, a tent and a sleeping bag were reported stolen from a lodge on U.S. 2 east of West Glacier.

Dogs were barking outside a Houston Drive residence because there were deer in the driveway, not because of an intruder. Blinking lights and a suspicious phone call made to a neighbor apparently were unconnected.

After hearing a loud noise, a Columbia Falls Stage Road resident found a bullet hole in the house, possibly from a hunter.

Traffic cones were knocked down on South Woodland Drive. Two bicycles were discovered stashed nearby.

A man accused of pushing a woman around at an Evergreen residence left before deputies arrived. The woman, however, was arrested on a misdemeanor city warrant.

A woman allegedly sent threatening letters to her sister’s Whitefish-area home.

The lock was cut off an Evergreen storage facility, and items inside were stolen.

Deputies received 157 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Friday and 3:30 p.m. Saturday.

Kalispell police

A passerby called Kalispell police after watching a group of people take turns riding around on the top of a car spinning brodies in a parking lot off First Avenue East.

A blue pickup truck was reported stolen Friday from a tire shop on West Center Street.

Officers arrested two 14-year-old girls for drug possession at Glacier High School. A 16-year-old girl was arrested at the same school for possession of alcohol.

Two women fighting in a bar off Second Street East were separated. Most of the people involved dispersed, but bar management had to ask one of the participants to leave.

Someone allegedly used a car in an attempt to run over a woman in a Second Avenue West parking lot.

Kids reportedly spray-painting the side of a West Idaho Street building were actually removing graffiti.

Several people were involved in an altercation at a Farview Drive residence, but only one man with a misdemeanor warrant was arrested.

Officers received 85 calls for service between 2:30 p.m. Friday and 2:30 p.m. Saturday.

Whitefish police

Whitefish police arrested a 14-year-old boy for possession of alcohol and tobacco while conducting a welfare check in the parking lot of a Baker Avenue grocery store.

Officers arrested a 34-year-old man on suspicion of DUI during a traffic stop on Spokane Avenue.

A 44-year-old man was arrested for driving with a suspended license during a traffic stop on U.S. 93 south of downtown.

Officers received 19 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Friday and 3:30 p.m. Saturday.

Columbia Falls police

Columbia Falls police received reports of a suspicious person outside a Riverwood Lane residence. A man wearing glasses and dressed in black was on the porch. Turns out grandpa just went out for a cigarette.

Officers received 12 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Friday and 3:30 p.m. Saturday.

Alarms

The Columbia Falls Fire Department extinguished an approximately 10-acre grass fire off South Hilltop Road.

The Columbia Falls Fire Department, Badrock Fire Department, and Blankenship Fire Department responded to a rollover crash on the North Fork Road. A man was taken to Kalispell Regional Medical Center.
