Flathead County sheriff

Flathead County Sheriff’s deputies were called to an area off U.S. 2 near Bad Rock Canyon after someone found bones they thought to be human and notified authorities. Responders, however, did not find anything suspicious at the scene.

Paramedics and the county’s search and rescue team were dispatched to the Columbia Mountain trail late Monday to treat a man with a stab wound in his leg. Authorities found the man and took him to the hospital.

A 2-year-old child reported missing on Ridgewood Drive was found hiding in the house.

Two shots reportedly were fired by someone hunting where they shouldn’t in the Evergreen area.

A man who got lost hiking Monday evening near Loon Lake in Lake County was found unharmed.

Men in a car northbound on Helena Flats Road reportedly were driving recklessly, making bad passes, and tailgating. Deputies were dispatched to investigate the possible road rage.

Deputies responded to South Woodland Drive after a man allegedly became abusive with his significant other, who hid some property from him.

Someone on Lore Lake Road received an e-mail threatening his life and the lives of his family.

Deputies received 143 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Monday and 3:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Kalispell police

An upset woman called in a bomb threat to several offices at Kalispell Regional Medical Center and threatened several people. Kalispell police investigated.

Someone stole a camera from the backpack of a community college student while he was in class.

A Ninth Avenue East North resident reported his or her home had been vandalized, but didn’t want to pursue charges.

More than $170 reportedly was taken from the locker room at Flathead High School. About $330 was stolen from a van parked at the intersection of Third Avenue East and 11th Street.

A Fourth Avenue East woman complained that her husband rudely threw dishes across the floor during a domestic disturbance.

Four cars collided Tuesday near the intersection of Main and Idaho streets, but no one was seriously injured. 

A Heavens Peak Drive woman told police that, during an argument with her husband, he pushed her against the wall. The couple was separated.

The mother of a 17-year-old Appleway Drive girl told officers her daughter was being harassed by an ex-boyfriend.

Someone rang the doorbell of a Jubilee Court residence three times and walked away, but then returned to ring it again.

Officers received 76 calls for service between 2:30 p.m. Monday and 2:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Whitefish police

Whitefish police received 38 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Monday and 3:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Columbia Falls police

Columbia Falls police received 17 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Monday and 3:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Alarms

The Hungry Horse Fire Department, Martin City Fire Department, Three Rivers EMS, and Canyon Quick Response Unit were paged out to Second Avenue North in Martin City after a man passed out.

The Kalispell Fire Department responded to Teton Street after a delivery man discovered smoke inside a home on his route. It turns out the residents had left with food still on the stove.
