Bert M. Guy Jr., 74, of Kalispell, died Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 26, 2009. Bert was born to Bert Sr., and Velma Guy on March 15, 1935, in Kalispell. Bert is survived by his wife, Ginger Guy, of Kalispell; his son, Bert III, and daughter-in-law, Carol; son, Byron Guy; five grandchildren, M lynn and her husband Doug Schwartz, Ashley Guy, Cassie Guy, Amanda Guy and Jelisa Guy, all of Kalispell; his sisters, Nina Johnson of Wenatchee, Wash., Lenora Hadley and Donna Warrington, both of Kalispell, and Edna Guy of Maple Valley, Wash. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Bert s hobbies included hunting and fishing, and teasing his granddaughters. The fish are much safer now. He had a deep love for God, church and family. He worked at Sunset Carburetor from 1953 to 1974. He was a past master of Trinity Lodge 152 and was involved in the Scottish Rite and the Shrine. He was a deacon at Church of Christ for 10 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bert Sr., and Velma Guy; his sister, Hazel Wagner; and brothers, Bruce Guy and Don Guy. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Shriners Hospital in Spokane, Wash. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. today, Nov. 28, at Church of Christ, 241 Stillwater Road, in Kalispell. Take Three Mile Drive to Stillwater Road, and go a half mile north on Stillwater Road. The church is on the east side of the road. A reception will follow at the church.
