Kalispell has two openings on impact-fee panel
The city of Kalispell is looking for applicants for two openings on its Impact Fee Committee.
One opening was created with the recent resignation of Gerald Reckin, a general representative on the committee.
The second opening must be filled by a certified public accountant. It has been temporarily filled by a member of the city's legal staff. That is less than ideal, so the city has been trying to recruit an independent CPA in that post.
Anyone interested has until 5 p.m. Oct. 23 to submit a letter to Mayor Pam Kennedy. She makes recommendations from those applicants and the city council appoints members.
The Impact Fee Committee reviews and monitors the process of calculating, assessing and spending all the city's impact fees - transportation, water, sewer, stormwater, police and fire. The committee currently is reviewing water, sewer and stormwater fees.
Members must be either property owners, residents or actively engaged in business or employment within the Kalispell city limits. For more information on the committee, contact Budget Resource Manager Terri Loudermilk at 758-7722.
Meetings are held as necessary, generally the third Wednesday of the month at 7 p.m. in City Hall.
Address letters of interest to city Clerk Theresa White, P.O. Box 1997, Kalispell, MT 59901.
