Flathead County sheriff

Flathead Valley's first snow of the season set off a rash of vehicle accidents that were reported to the Flathead County Sheriff's deputies Friday morning. A tractor-trailer spun out on Hart Hill west of Kalispell, temporarily obstructing U.S. 2. There were at least four rollovers around the county, with no one seriously hurt, and there were multiple vehicles sliding off roads.

A DVD player was reported stolen from a vehicle on Kings Loop.

A woman reported that there appeared to be bullet holes in her mailbox and in a window frame on her East Edgewood house near Whitefish.

Thursday evening, a ring was reported stolen by a Rufenach Lane resident.

Deputies responded to a disturbance at a Ridgewood Drive house where a couple was separated.

There was a report of a disturbance involving a drunk tenant and a landlord at home on U.S. 2 just east of Columbia Falls.

Deputies dispatched a moose that had been badly injured after being struck by a vehicle on U.S. 2 near West Glacier.

Deputies received 126 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Thursday and 3:30 p.m. Friday.

Kalispell police

Kalispell Police got reports from at least three drivers about a reckless driver hitting up to two parked vehicles and a sign on Airport Road and 18th Street East Thursday night. One person reported that the reckless driver almost collided head on with her. After locating the driver's truck at a bar parking lot on U.S. 2 South, a man, 30, was arrested for driving with a suspended license, no insurance, leaving the scene of an accident and reckless driving.

After being detained on suspicion of theft at Flathead High School, a teen boy was arrested for possessing drugs.

A woman reported that her vehicle door had been dented by someone kicking it in the parking lot of a Third Avenue East North grocery store.

A Blackberry phone, worth $200, was reported stolen from a bar on First Avenue East.

A purse was reported stolen from a North Main Street business.

There were 47 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Thursday and 3:30 p.m. Friday.

Columbia Falls police

Columbia Falls Police arrested a teenage boy for shoplifting at a grocery store on U.S. 2 west Friday afternoon.

There were 16 log calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Thursday and 3:30 p.m. Friday.

Whitefish police

After a traffic stop at Baker Avenue and Fifth Street, Whitefish Police arrested a man, 31, for possessing drug paraphernalia Friday afternoon.

There were 37 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Thursday and 3:30 p.m. Friday.
