Flathead County sheriff

Flathead County Sheriff's deputies responded to the parking lot of an Evergreen store after receiving reports that a man was smoking marijuana. He was arrested for drug possession and an outstanding warrant.

A man who wouldn't leave a business on U.S. 2 was arrested on a warrant for contempt of court. He reportedly was outside rolling around on the grass.

Bags of baby clothes were removed from the middle of U.S. 93 after they caused numerous drivers to swerve.

An intoxicated man who refused to leave an Evergreen grocery store was taken to jail.

Guns were reported missing Friday night from a residence on North Foy's Lake Drive.

Two kittens left on the doorstep of a Whitefish-area residence were taken to the county animal shelter.

Vehicles ran through fences early Saturday morning on Voerman Road and Anderson Lane. One car was gone and the other unoccupied when authorities arrived.

No one was injured in a rollover crash on what reportedly was a very slick Rocky Cliff Road.

Deputies received 115 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Friday and 3:30 p.m. Saturday.

Kalispell police

An intoxicated woman at a restaurant on U.S. 93 North reportedly threw a glass of beer at the bartender when he approached her about not taking her drink outside. Kalispell police responded.

A woman tried to get some property from an ex-boyfriend's Liberty Street residence, but he and another woman allegedly pushed her down and tried to take a key in her possession.

Two goats got loose near Fourth Avenue West and 11th Street. Cows created a traffic hazard on Airport Road.

A Glenwood Drive man told officers his wife assaulted him and punched a hole in the wall.

Brothers, both reportedly intoxicated, got into an argument on Farview Drive.

Officers received 73 calls for service between 2:30 p.m. Friday and 2:30 p.m. Saturday.

Whitefish police

Whitefish police arrested a 27-year-old man for driving on a suspended license during a traffic stop on U.S. 93.

Officers received 26 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Friday and 3:30 p.m. Saturday.

Columbia Falls police

Columbia Falls police arrested a 50-year-old man on suspicion of drunken driving during a traffic stop on U.S. 2.

Officers followed a staggering man out a restaurant on U.S. 2 and arrested him on suspicion of DUI when he got into his car.

Officers received 25 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Friday and 3:30 p.m. Saturday.

Alarms

The Hungry Horse Fire Department and Martin City Fire Department responded to reports of a broken gas line on Second Avenue South.

The Bigfork Fire Department responded to Foothill Road and extinguished a fire in a home.

The Somers Fire Department was paged out to Stoner Creek Road to remove a fallen tree that was obstructing traffic. The Evergreen Fire Department did the same on Bernard Road.

The Kalispell Fire Department responded to a crash Friday evening at First Avenue West and 11th Street, but no one was injured.

People were injured, however, in a crash on Fifth Avenue East and 13th Street. Paramedics with the Kalispell Fire Department took those hurt to the hospital.

The Creston Fire Department responded to what turned out to be the controlled burn of a slash pile on Creston Hatchery Road.

The Kalispell Fire Department was paged out to a crash on U.S. 2 West and took one person to Kalispell Regional Medical Center.

The Whitefish Fire Department responded to a grocery store on U.S. 93 to clean up a small fuel spill under a car.

The Evergreen Fire Department quickly extinguished a fire in a home on Addison Square. It may have started near the chimney.
