The third annual Orphan Art Sale is tonight at the Noice Studio and Gallery from 5 to 7:30 p.m.

Jana Goodman, who coordinates the sale, said the event will benefit the exhibition and education programs of the Hockaday Museum of Art.

"We'd love to have people come in to see if there's anything they can use and support the Hockaday," Goodman said. "It's a great party."

The donated pre-owned art was brought in by the public and Hockaday members, Goodman said.

The sale is open to all. Goodman said she expects about 100 people to attend. Snacks will be provided and wine will be available for purchase.

A number of pieces have fixed prices, but the majority of the art, which includes prints, lithographs, oil paintings and bronze sculptures, will be bid on during the silent auction.

"We're letting some things go for some real bargains," Goodman said. "It's perfect for somebody wanting to get a collection started."
