Flathead County sheriff

Flathead County Sheriff's deputies and area fire departments responded to the intersection of Montana 35 and Helena Flats Road about 2:15 p.m. Wednesday to deal with a broken natural gas line. The incident shut down traffic on Montana 35 from about 2:45 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Parts were reported stolen off two vehicles sitting in a salvage yard off Airport Road.

Deputies were called to U.S. 2 West to settle a dispute over ownership of a camp trailer. One of the parties had reported it stolen.

Someone keeps coming onto a North Fork Road resident's property and cutting down trees.

A Flathead County woman told deputies her husband just married another woman in Florida. She wanted to report him for bigamy.

Passers-by were offended by a transient allegedly urinating in the ditch off U.S. 93 near Whitefish.

A Somers man wanted to move back into a residence, but a woman also living there didn't want him to. Deputies responded and served the man with a restraining order.

Medication was reported stolen on Stage Ridge Road. Items were taken from a car in Martin City.

Threats were exchanged during an argument on Gordon Avenue near Columbia Falls.

Deputies received 122 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Tuesday and 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Kalispell police

Someone at a First Avenue West tavern told Kalispell police that a customer, angry over getting kicked out, may have followed another customer home to key his or her car.

A Sixth Avenue West resident reported an unauthorized charge of $700 on her debit card.

Five young kids reportedly showed up at the door of a Fourth Street West home asking to buy candy.

A suitcase was taken from a car on U.S. 93 North. A laptop computer went missing from a car on Fifth Street West.

Witnesses at a hotel on U.S. 93 South reported seeing a man punch another man in the head, causing him to bleed.

A transient trespassing at a Fourth Avenue East North business fled, leaving behind his shirt and suitcase.

Officers arrested a 22-year-old man on suspicion of DUI, driving without a valid license, and driving without insurance after a crash on Willow Glen Drive.

A Greatview Drive woman complained about the profanity-prone neighbor boy who won't honor her request to stay off her property. The boy's parents apparently won't do anything about it.

Graffiti was found Wednesday on a garbage can in Depot Park.

A teenage boy knocked on a Sante Fe Street residence and left a can of mushrooms on the stoop before he took off running.

Whitefish police received 38 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Tuesday and 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Columbia Falls police

Columbia Falls police arrested a 26-year-old man on an outstanding city warrant and on suspicion of partner assault after he allegedly threatened his estranged wife on Third Avenue East.

Officers received 19 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Tuesday and 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Alarms

The Kalispell Fire Department responded to Two Mile Drive to treat a person suffering from diabetes.

The Kalispell Fire Department was dispatched to Third Avenue West to inspect an open-pit fire.

Paramedics with the Kalispell Fire Department responded to Willow Glen Drive after a car ran into a retaining wall.
