Flathead County Sheriff's deputies

Flathead County Sheriff's deputies received a call Sunday night from a person on Coram Stage Road who asked for permission to "Tase" and handcuff a man in the neighborhood whom he regarded as suspicious. The response from dispatchers: Don't Tase him, bro.

A man was cited for stealing a DVD from Walmart.

An iPod and beer were reported stolen from a vehicle parked at the Stillwater State Forest.

A radar detector, tools, a handheld GPS system and binoculars were reported stolen from a vehicle on Sunrise Drive in Evergreen.

Deputies broke up a dispute between two neighbors on Grand Drive in Bigfork.

A Smith Valley Road resident reported that someone had attempted to break into his house, the second unsuccessful attempt in the last two weeks.

There was a report from Jellison Road of an unruly child smashing his head into the window of a vehicle belonging to his parents.

Early Monday, there was a report of a prowler who attempted to gain entry through the front door of a Harmony Road home.

A Foy's Lake resident reported that someone stole his WaveRunner overnight and it apparently ran out of gas. The vessel, which was floating in the lake, was undamaged and towed back to the dock by the owner.

There was a report of a chainsaw possibly being stolen from a garage on the 3000 block of Montana 35 east of Kalispell.

A man was cited for shoplifting at Shopko.

A man came into the Sheriff's Office to report that he may know the whereabouts of a vehicle that was stolen from him in 2001. Deputies are investigating.

Sheriff's dispatch had 191 log entries between 3:30 p.m. Sunday and 3:30 p.m. Monday.

Kalispell police

Kalispell police detained a man, 47, on a mental-health hold after he made threats at a residence on the 100 block of Fourth Avenue West Sunday night.

Officers assisted a very intoxicated man who was thrown out of a West Idaho casino, and he subsequently took a "nose-dive" on the sidewalk outside.

After a disturbance at the Kalispell Regional Medical Center emergency room, a girl, 18, was detained on a mental-health hold.

A woman, 34, was cited for shoplifting from a Third Avenue East North grocery store.

There was a report of a disturbance nearly becoming a fistfight at a home on the 300 block of College Avenue. The incident may have involved an alleged theft that occurred the day before at a residence on the 900 block of Sixth Street West.

Monday, a wallet with $800 was reported stolen from a vehicle through a broken window on Hawthorn Avenue.

There was a report that a bullet had been fired through the wall of a business on North Meridian.

There were 67 log entries between 3:30 p.m. Sunday and 3:30 p.m. Monday.

Columbia Falls police

Columbia Falls police had a report Sunday night of items being stolen from a vehicle on Grace Road.

There was a report of a vehicle being stolen from a residence on Seventh Avenue East North early Monday. However, the vehicle had already been recovered by the Montana Highway Patrol along the North Fork Road - a few hours before police received the theft report.

There were 25 log entries between 3:30 p.m. Sunday and 3:30 p.m. Monday.

Whitefish police

Whitefish police arrested a teenage boy early Monday for possessing alcohol after responding to a disturbance on the 300 block of West Eighth Street.

A woman was arrested for driving with a suspended license at a Spokane Avenue convenience store.

Another woman was arrested for the same offense at another location on Spokane Avenue.

There were 25 log entries between 3:30 p.m. Sunday and 3:30 p.m. Monday.

Alarms

A Hawthorn Avenue resident reported that his neighbor was screaming and that a car had apparently fallen on him. The man had been working under the car when a jack collapsed and the car fell on his head and chest. Kalispell Fire Department responded but found that a neighbor had already jacked up the car freeing the man, who was transported by ambulance to the Kalispell hospital with minor injuries.
