A Kalispell man, 50, was arrested after turning himself in to the Flathead County Sheriff's Office on a warrant for sexual assault and indecent exposure involving a 14-year-old boy.

The arrest followed an investigation that lasted for several months.

A purse was reported stolen Monday from a vehicle on White Birch Lane.

Deputies intervened in a dispute between a boy and his aunt, who had taken away his Xbox.

A car parked on the 900 block of West Reserve was "keyed."

Deputies separated several people involved in a family feud on Ridgewood Drive.

A man reported that his wife beat him up at a Sunnybrook Lane residence in Somers. She was gone when deputies arrived.

Shortly before midnight, a man called for help because he had acid in his eyes. He had apparently set off a bug bomb at an apartment building on U.S. 2 in Evergreen.

Tuesday morning, an Eighth Avenue East resident just outside Kalispell reported that there was an abandoned vehicle in his yard.

There was a report of "gunshots and screaming" on Ridgewood Drive just outside of Kalispell. It turned out to be a neighbor who was screaming in frustration and banging on a clothes dryer trying to fix it.

A mountain bike was reported stolen from a Greenwood Village yard.

Items were reportedly stolen from a vehicle parked at a Lower Valley Road residence.

A 1930 Chevy Coup was reportedly vandalized while parked at the Ford Museum on Montana 35 in Bigfork.

The Sheriff's Office dispatch had 145 log entries between 3:30 p.m. Monday and 3:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Kalispell police

Responding to an alarm at a bar on U.S. West that was closed for Labor Day, Kalispell police ended up arresting a man, 45, for possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia Monday evening.

A red Volkswagen Jetta was reported stolen from a restaurant parking lot on Main Street. Keys had apparently been left in the vehicle.

Early Tuesday, a couple was separated by officers after a dispute at a home on the 200 block of Eighth Avenue West.

Someone entered a home on the 2000 block of Coot Court through a back glass sliding door, stealing a purse. The purse was located in the yard.

Soon after, officers responded to a similar situation at a residence in the 2000 block of Teal Drive. Again, a purse was recovered from the yard.

A separate report from a Teal Drive resident involved a truck that was ransacked, with $200 stolen and gas siphoned from the vehicle.

A guitar and amplifier, along with CDs and a skateboard, were reported stolen from a residence at First Street and Eighth Avenue West.

There were 54 log entries between 3:30 p.m. Monday and 3:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Columbia Falls police

Columbia Falls police got a report Monday night from a woman who claimed that her sister had assaulted her at a Ninth Street West residence.

On Tuesday a man, 30, was arrested on a warrant after appearing in City Court.

Electronics gear was reported stolen from Columbia Falls High School.

There were 18 log entries between 3:30 p.m. Monday and 3:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Whitefish police

After a traffic stop on U.S. 93 West, Whitefish police arrested a woman, 42, for drunk driving Monday night.

There were 34 log entries between 3:30 p.m. Monday and 3:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Alarms

The Marion Fire Department and Smith Valley Fire Department responded to a fire that grew to about 1.5 acres near the Lower Lost Prairie Road on Monday.

After a motorcycle rear-ended a car on U.S. 93 near Reserve Drive on Tuesday, the Kalispell Ambulance transported the person on the motorcycle to Kalispell Regional Medical Center.
