Rebecca Sliter of Kalispell has been charged with two felonies for her part in a multiple-vehicle crash that injured seven people on U.S. 2 in Evergreen June 27.

Sliter, 28, was arrested and booked into the Flathead County Jail Wednesday.

The warrant issued by District Judge Ted Lympus charges Sliter with negligent vehicular assault and criminal endangerment, both felonies.

Court documents allege that Sliter "caused serious bodily injury" when she made "an abrupt U-turn while traveling northbound on the highway."

That resulted in a chain-reaction collision involving two other vehicles. Seven people were hurt in the crash, including Sliter. One person, Theresa Creighton, was admitted to Kalispell Regional Medical Center for multiple broken ribs and an abdominal wall contusion.

All others involved were treated and released from the hospital.

The arrest affidavit states that a blood sample taken from Sliter at the hospital at the request of the Montana Highway Patrol was analyzed by the state crime lab. That analysis found that Sliter had a blood alcohol content of .36, more than four times the legal limit.

The assault charge carries a penalty of up to 10 years in prison and a fine up to $10,000. The endangerment charge carries a penalty of up to 10 years, and a fine up to $50,000.

The arrest warrant sets bail at $30,000.
