Prep Volleyball: Glacier, Flathead spikers fall

GREAT FALLS - Glacier came up short, but the effort by the Wolfpack was a vast improvement over the team's last outing, a 3-0 volleyball loss on Saturday at Helena High.

Billings Senior was pushed to the limit by Glacier, winning 25-13, 19-25, 25-20, 20-25, 15-12 on Thursday in a Class AA nonconference matchup at Great Falls High.

"The defensive effort was excellent," Glacier coach Christy Harkins said. "Both my setters (Reegan Bennett and Paige Latimer) got some offense going. That was good."

Kendry Bouley's named appeared in four of the five statistical areas. She was second on the Wolfpack squad in kills, 13, first in blocks, 4, second in digs, 21, and tied for first in aces, 3.

"She's such a great competitor," Harkins said. "Whatever she's called on to do, she does it aggressively."

Rachel Cutler led Glacier in kills, 16, and Cami Mathison was tops in digs, 32.

Bennett had 22 assists for the Wolfpack and Lexy Boschee also had 3 aces.

Glacier, 2-3 overall, is back in action at the Great Falls Invitational today and Saturday. The Wolfpack play at C.M. Russell today at 10 a.m.

GREAT FALLS - Billings West won its fourth-straight match, downing Flathead 25-19, 23-25, 25-11, 25-18 at C.M. Russell High School.

Flathead will compete in the Great Falls Invitational today.
