Louise Mackey, 79
A lifetime resident of the Flathead Valley, Louise Mackey passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2009, at the home of her son Roy. She was born at the family home in Somers on Dec. 17, 1929, to Arthur E. and Cynthia (Noble) Richmond.
She attended schools in Somers and graduated from Flathead County High School in 1947.
On June 27, 1948, she married Donald W. Mackey in Missoula.
She enjoyed all types of needlework, reading, her flowers and mostly, her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband of nearly 60 years in April 2007; her parents; three brothers, Ed, Ron and Jack Richmond; and four sisters, Sarah Parocai, Fran Crook, Virginia Crook and Ruby Richmond.
She is survived by her daughter, Sue Waggener, and husband, Jim; two sons, Roy Mackey, and Rod Mackey and wife, Amy; six grandchildren, Brad Waggener, Jaylyn Waggener, Jennifer Harrington-Ferguson, Angela Waggener, Christopher Mackey and Cynthia Mackey; several great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter; two brothers, Russ Richmond of Ypsilanti, Mich., and Frank Richmond of Hawthorne, Calif.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service for Louise and Don will be held at a later date.
