Capital downs Wolfpack; Polson spills C-Falls in 3

HELENA - Lexy Boschee had 11 kills and Kendra Bouley added three blocks in a losing effort for the Glacier Wolfpack volleyball team on Saturday.
Helena Capital defeated the visiting Wolfpack in four games - 18-25, 25-17, 25-22, 25-13.
"We came out aggressive in game one, then Capital decided to fight back and we did not rise to the challenge," said Wolfpack coach Christy Harkins. "It was disappointing after playing so competitively on Thursday."
Other leaders for Glacier were Paige Latimer with 21 set assists and Cami Mathison with 22 digs.
The Wolfpack (1-3 Western AA, 3-6 overall) travels to Missoula Sentinel on Saturday.

POLSON - Polson stayed perfect on the season, downing Columbia Falls 25-11, 25-17, 25-17 in a Northwestern A match.
Polson, 3-0, held a big edge in all the game stats.
Nicole Davey had nine kills for the Pirates, 3-0, and six aces to lead the team in those two areas.
Kayla DeWit totaled seven kills and two aces for Columbia Falls, 1-3.

BONNERS FERRY, Idaho - A good day of volleyball is how Whitefish head coach Jackie Fuller described her team's play at the Bonners Ferry Tournament.
The Bulldogs had a 4-1 record, good for third place.
Their scores included a 8-25, 25-19, 15-6 win over Coeur d'Alene, a 25-17, 26-24 win over host Bonners Ferry, a 25-14, 25-11 win over Selkirk, Wash., and a 25-23 25-20 loss to Timberlake. The Bulldogs then came back and beat Bonners Ferry 25-17, 23-25, 15-8 for third place.
"I'm real happy with the girls and the way they played today," said Fuller.
"As the day went on, they just got better and better. It was a great experience for us. It was a fun day for us to be together," she added.
Fuller complimented the efforts of senior outside hitter Jessica Slaybaugh, as well as sophomore Breanna Barnes and junior middle Olivia Nagler.
"I'm really impressed with Jessica Slaybaugh and her leadership. All in all, I thought the kids played really well together," she said.
Next up for the Bulldogs is a home match Thursday against Ronan.

GREAT FALLS - Great Falls Home School defeated Flathead Valley Home School 27-25, 25-21, 26-24 in Montana Christian Athletic Association nonconference action.
Shelby Sladek led FVHS in kills, nine, and was second in assists, five. Amanda Jarvis was second in kills, four, and led in assists, 10.
"Very close matches," FVHS coach Jim Guy said.
"We had some trouble serving, had some trouble passing. Overall, the girls played very well."
