Antoinette (Toni) Toad Michele Gervais, 48, was taken by our Lord on July 30, 2010, at Kalispell Regional Medical Center, from complications from lupus, with which she had been struggling for over 30 years. Toni was born Oct. 26, 1961, in Hawthorne, Calif., to Joanne Baker Pearson and Kenneth Lloyd Gervais. Toni attended most of her schools in Havre. She married Jerold Tucker at an early age and later divorced. She continued on her journey to find her destiny, where she then met her second husband, Mike Clemmins, in California. Not fulfilled, she decided to travel to various places around the U.S. She finally settled down in the Flathead Valley to be close to her mother, where she finally met the love of her life, Delmer Erickson. She then completed her G.E.D. and continued to take college courses, intending to pursue a degree in the medical field. Her illness kept her from completing her education. Toni was the most compassionate, fun loving, caring, giving and talented individual you could ever meet. Through her struggle she kept a positive attitude, and her faith guided her through. Her smile and jokes could make you laugh until you cried. Toni was very artistically inclined. She enjoyed singing, playing the guitar, drawing and crafts. She was an avid Facebooker, especially Farmville. After her long battle with lupus, Toni decided to put herself in God s hands. She was preceded in death by her brother, Roy A. Moore; and sisters, Kathy and Jennifer Gervais. She is survived by her mother, Joanne Pearson of Hungry Horse; father, Kenneth Gervais of Chattanooga, Tenn.; sisters, Brenda (Chuck) Cox of Havre, Yvette Gervais of Chattanooga, Tenn., brother, Gary Moore (Summer Stilger) of Havre; niece, Amber Cox (Paul Turner) of Missoula; nephews, Jason (Britin) Cross of Billings, David Cross (Britta Umbach) of Great Falls, and Alex and Geoffrey Moore, both of Glenwood Springs, Colo.; soul mate, Delmer Erickson of Kalispell; life-long friend Clea Bergren of Havre; goddaughter, Kela Bergren of Havre; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; and two great-nieces. Toni touched and inspired many lives and will be truly missed by all. A celebration of Toni s life will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, August 3, at Hungry Horse Chapel in Hungry Horse. A gathering of family and friends will be held immediately following at the chapel. Donations can be made in Toni s honor to the Lupus Foundation Inc., 2000 L Street N.W., Suite 710, Washington, DC 20036. Arrangements are being made by Columbia Mortuary in Columbia Falls.
