Thief chased on foot till he gives up bike

Kalispell Police were not needed Saturday morning after a bike was stolen from a yard on Ninth Street. The caller chased the thief who then ditched the bike and fled on foot.

A woman said Friday night that her purse was stolen on Trump Drive.

A shoplifter was arrested after being caught at a business on U.S. 93.

Several fights were reported Friday night. Two males were seen brawling on the ground near U.S. 2. A man’s head was slammed on the ground and beer bottles were thrown on Third Street West. Another fight was reported on Airport Road. Police told one participant he could file charges when he sobers up.

An iPod was stolen from an unlocked vehicle on Hutton Ranch Road.

Sunglasses, a book, a camera, a diaper bag and backpack were stolen from an unlocked vehicle on Fifth Street.

A bicycle was reported stolen off of U.S. 93.

A skateboarder had a bleeding head wound Saturday afternoon hours after an officer warned a skateboarder for not wearing a helmet. Coincidence or fate?

Someone reported seeing a 12-year-old boy riding a motorcycle through stop signs on Hilltop Avenue.

A dog was struck and killed by a passing motorist as a woman walked the canine on North Main Street. The driver did not stop.
