Jazz band: Don't call it noise

Kalispell Police were notified of a noise complaint on Fifth Avenue Saturday night. The culprits were a jazz band that reportedly took issue with its smooth, soulful sound being referred to as “noise.”

Officers looked into a report of 10 children climbing on the roof of a restroom.

A man and woman were separated by officers after one of them began throwing the other’s belongings out of a house on Ninth Avenue.

A purse was stolen from a vehicle on Mallard Drive.

The windows were broken at a home on Sixth Avenue East. The homeowner was out of town.

A man allegedly punched a woman in the face on Two Mile Drive.

A man’s wallet was stolen from his vehicle while he shopped at a business on Carnegie Drive Saturday night.

The owner of a dog reportedly unleashed an expletive-laced tirade after a pedestrian accused the dog of being vicious. The owner had watched the dog charge the person on 10th Avenue.

Someone sprayed graffiti on a fence on Aurich Avenue.

Suspicious circumstances were reported after men with flashlights were spotted on Sixth Avenue just after midnight. A nearby home was recently burglarized.

Crackers were stolen from a business on East Idaho Street. The crime was captured by surveillance footage.

A young man was seen sitting on a street with what was described as “urine or vomit” on his clothing.

Flathead County’s Sheriff’s Office freed a child from a restroom after the door malfunctioned Sunday afternoon.
