Bicyclist reports trouble with railroad signal

Kalispell Police received a call after a Good Samaritan said he rode his bike a half mile to reach a pay phone so he could notify authorities of a potential railroad crossing malfunction near First Avenue East North and Market Place Street. Railroad employees determined the machinery had overheated.

A collision at North Meridian Road and Appleway Drive escalated when a man emerged from one of the vehicles swinging a bat. The road rage ended when he was arrested for disorderly conduct.

Thirty people were reportedly involved in four simultaneous fights on Woodland Park Drive.

An onlooker called after seeing a man laying on the ground near U.S. 2 West while several men kicked him. The man was treated for lacerations on his face.

A woman was seen screaming in the back of a pickup truck on Seventh Avenue West while the male driver hit the brakes. The man was later seen picking up belongings that she had thrown from the vehicle. The woman was taken into custody.

A woman on Seventh Avenue West North received threatening calls from someone who thought she was having an affair with her husband.

A man accidentally shot a 13-year-old girl with an Airsoft pellet.

Two men seen taking pictures of a young person were thought to be suspicious, but they told police they were in a photography class.

Someone drove away from a business on Third Avenue East North without paying for service.

A husband and wife apparently wore out their welcome with a motorist on U.S. 2 East. They were kicked out of the car and had to set up a tent in a parking lot.

Truck drivers were asked to respect stop signs in a construction zone on Foys Lake Road.

A woman was accused of stealing from family members on Two Mile Drive. Five of those forgiving relatives asked the woman to go to treatment.

Alarms

 Two males jumped out of a car after a two-vehicle collision near West Reserve Drive and U.S. 93 North and told bystanders the driver was drunk. The driver left the scene.

Only minor damage was reported after a two-vehicle collision near West Idaho Street and Fourth Avenue West North.
