Boys busted with yard ornaments

Five boys were arrested after Kalispell Police found them in possession of 40 yard lights and lawn ornaments. Several reports of theft were made on Sherry Lane.

Police arrested a 53-year-old man for disorderly conduct after the man refused to let customers leave a business on Third Avenue East North.

Someone on Second Avenue East called officers after noticing someone had opened his mail.

Fair time was crime time at the Flathead County Fairgrounds where a Chevrolet Tahoe was stolen. It was found nearby hours later. Later, a disorderly man was asked to leave after being seen with blood-covered arms. He had apparently been punching something for no good reason.

A 16-year-old boy was arrested for possession of alcohol on North Meridian Street near the fair. A 19-year-old was cuffed for the same crime at the same location a short time later.

A 20-year-old man was arrested for allegedly throwing a woman on the ground and against a wall on Indian Trail Road.

A 20-year-old woman was arrested for shoplifting at a business on U.S. 93 North.

Neighbors on Wheat Grass Lane came to an eventual agreement after one shot the window of the other’s home with a BB gun.

A gust of wind exposed a marijuana grow under a tarp near Fourth Avenue West. The caller wasn’t sure if the owner had a marijuana card.

Two young girls were asked to buy adult reading material by a man near a business on Highway 93 North.

The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office was unable to locate the pranksters who removed the letters “G” and “R” from a Sweetgrass Road sign.

Someone on U.S. 2 East called deputies after discovering someone had defecated and urinated on a porch. The person was cited for disorderly conduct.

A house was egged on Kintla Way.

Two vehicles were reported stolen on Voerman Road Lane. As it turns out, the vehicles had been repossessed.

Checks were stolen and cashed, according to a caller on Conrad Drive in Bigfork.

A group of juveniles blocked traffic while driving a golf cart on Alpine Drive in Bigfork.

A purse was found on Ninth Street West in Columbia Falls and returned to its owner.

An argument between former roommates escalated when one slapped the other in the face after learning he was being kicked out of the home on Lower Valley Road.

Someone thought they saw a capsized boat on Flathead Lake, but deputies discovered the call was unfounded.

A caller on Timberlane Terrace in Bigfork said an e-mail account was hacked. The hacker sent out messages claiming to be stranded in England and in need of money.

Searchers found a man on Columbia Mountain Trail after his wife reported he was hours late after leaving on a bicycle trip. When they found him, the bike had two flat tires.

Noise on East Evergreen Drive provoked a neighbor to call police. The source of the noise told deputies he was “rocking out before work.”
