Drivers asked to slow down near schools

Flathead County Sheriff’s Office deputies conducted 27 traffic stops, many of them early in the morning near school zones. Sheriff’s office personnel remind drivers to observe school zone speed limits with classes back in session.

A possible burglary was reported at a business on Montana 35.

Three horses disrupted traffic on Willow Glen Drive. Deputies notified the owners.

A caller said they saw a man stumble on Batavia Lane, urinate in a parking lot and drive away.

Someone was taken to a hospital for treatment after a dog attack on Halfmoon Road near Columbia Falls.

A teenage daughter began walking along Creston Hatchery Road toward her father’s house after a dispute with her mother.

Eight dogs were reportedly living at one trailer on Jellison Road.

A woman on Ardell Drive argued with her uncle after he smashed the window of her car. Both were counseled.

Deputies were called after someone on Holt Drive said an unknown person kicked their door.

Burglary alarms on Golf Terrace Road and McDowell Drive near Bigfork and on Tetrault Road in Kalispell were believed to be wind-related. Nothing suspicious was found.

A verbal disturbance was reported after a property owner on Smokey Bear Lane said a relative would not leave the property. The relative was staying in a camper.

Kalispell police officers are reviewing surveillance footage after arriving at a business on U.S. 93 South where a man was unconscious and bleeding from his nose. He told police he was blindsided and kicked in the face.

The victim of a bicycle theft found the stolen bicycle near a business on U.S. 93 North. It was taken by police and logged as evidence.
