Assault sends woman to hospital

The Flathead County Sheriff’s office responded to a report of a man assaulting a woman in the Marion area Sunday, an incident that led to the woman being transferred to Kalispell Regional Medical Center. Details were unavailable, and the incident is still under investigation.

There was apparently a separate assault in the Marion area involving the use of a baseball bat. Deputies were required to stand by while a woman gathered belongings from a residence. That incident is also under investigation.

There was a report of gas being siphoned from a vehicle on Westview Drive.

An East Evergreen Drive resident reported that someone attempted to steal a stereo from a vehicle but ended up dropping it in the driveway.

A woman reported from a Fourth Avenue East residence near Columbia Falls that her boyfriend had beaten her up Saturday. The incident is under investigation.

There was a report of kids “hooky-bobbing” behind moving vehicles on Bighorn Drive.

A Hungry Horse area resident reported that while her 10-year-old was at home alone, three girls forced their way into the residence, smoked cigarettes and left.

There was a report of a gun being stolen from a vehicle on Big Mountain Road.

A man and woman were yelling at each other on Conrad Drive. The man ended up leaving on his own.

A person called from a residence off U.S. 2 west in the Kila area that cupboards had been opened and medications appeared to be missing.

Early Monday, around 3 a.m., an alarm system went off at a tobacco store on U.S. 2 East in Kalispell. It turned out to be a burglary, with unknown merchandise taken.

A resident of a retirement home on First Avenue West reported a theft of personal belongings.

There was apparently theft from a series of mailboxes on the 1200 block of Fourth Avenue West, with the reporting party finding open boxes, pieces of mail on the ground and packages on top of the mailboxes.

There was a report of a physical disturbance involving a husband and wife on the 500 block of Crestview Road late Sunday. The woman at one point was throwing the man’s belongings out. The parties were counseled by officers and there were no arrests.

There was a disturbance at a residence on the 1000 block of Eighth Avenue West involving dispute over ownership of a dog.

There was a report of two suspicious males going through mailboxes on Garland Street. An officer ended up contacting three people in the area, but there were no arrests.

Responding to a report of suspicious people on the 1100 block of U.S. 2 East just after 3 a.m. Monday, officers ended up detaining four juveniles and transporting two of them to Flathead County detention.

The manager of a business on Fourth Avenue East North reported that someone had thrown a rock through a window sometime overnight.

Gas had been siphoned from vehicles at a business on the 30 block of West Idaho Street, including about 40 gallons from a delivery truck.

Two males were pushing each other around along Hutton Ranch Road. They ended up parting ways on their own.

A resident in a multiplex building on the 900 block of Fourth Avenue East said that someone in the building has been smoking marijuana and the odor was spreading throughout the building through heating vents.

Someone calling from an address on the 400 block of West Idaho Street reported that gas had been siphoned from two work vehicles.

Officers arrested a man, 25, on a warrant on the 1000 block of Second Street West.

The Montana Highway Patrol responded to an injury accident on Jasper Road just off U.S. 2 East at 1 p.m. Monday.
