Kalispell police

Around 8:30 a.m. Saturday, a Honda Accord apparently missed a corner, went over a snowbank and collided with a van along U.S. 93 South near a tire store. Although an ambulance was dispatched, no one was transported. Meanwhile, the driver of a Dodge Ram was apparently looking at the accident scene as he drove through the parking lot of a nearby motel and ran into a fence. There was no damage reported to the fence or the vehicle.

A Winward Way resident called Kalispell Police because a neighbor was apparently threatening the resident over vehicle vandalism. Each neighbor accused the other of being the aggressor. Officers counseled the two Friday evening.

Police counseled four skateboarders who were loitering in the parking lot of a bar on West Montana Street around 11:15 p.m. Friday.

A man has apparently been hanging out by the back door of an assisted living center on Three Mile Drive, taking cigarette butts from a container and parking lot. Around midnight Friday, officers advised him not to return to the property.

Officers received 69 calls for service between 2:30 p.m. Friday and 2:30 p.m. Saturday.

Flathead County sheriff

Flathead County Sheriff’s deputies busted an underage party at a Tamarack Lane residence around 10:40 p.m. Friday, but were unable to cite any of the 20 teens there because they hadn’t started drinking yet. The alcohol on the premises was confiscated and the teens were counseled. 

A briefcase was taken from a vehicle that may or may not have been locked. The owner noticed it was missing around 3 a.m. Saturday and said the theft occurred sometime in the last four hours, but wasn’t sure if it occurred in the parking lot of a bar on U.S. 2 West or later at a restaurant on East Idaho.

Four kids who appeared to be preparing to illegally spray paint near the Old Steel Bridge around 3:30 a.m. Saturday were released to their parents. As there was no fresh damage, they were not cited.

A 24-year-old man found slumped over the wheel of a red Chevy Camaro in the parking lot of a gas station on U.S. 2 West was taken to jail on an outstanding warrant around 4:30 a.m. Saturday.

Deputies received 149 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Friday and 3:30 p.m. Saturday.

Columbia Falls police

Columbia Falls Police arrested a 29-year-old man for DUI along Eighth Street West around 1 a.m. Saturday.

Officers received 24 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Friday and 3:30 p.m. Saturday.

Whitefish police

Whitefish Police received 28 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Friday and 3:30 p.m. Saturday.

Alarms

ALERT flew a person with a possible shoulder injury from a Lakeside ski area to Kalispell Regional Medical Center around 1:30 p.m. Saturday.

After falling off her bike along Fifth Avenue West, a 43-year-old woman was transported to Kalispell Regional Medical Center with a possible head injury Friday afternoon.

A 7-year-old boy was transported to North Valley Hospital with a possible head injury from skiing.

A 22-year-old woman who sustained a possible back injury was transported to North Valley Hospital from a ski area around 1:15 p.m. Saturday.

Kalispell Fire Department responded to a report of a trailer fire on College Avenue Saturday afternoon, but cleared the area soon after because no fire was visible.
