Kalispell police counseled some boys never to point toy guns out a window. They allegedly did so from a second-story window on Appleway Drive, alarming somebody who thought they were aiming for a vehicle with children inside it.

Two people refused to leave a Center Street mall Saturday evening. When they finally did, the female half of the pair allegedly spit at the mall representative — twice.

Whoever ran over a fence at an Empire Loop home drove off without notifying the homeowner.

Two white ducks, one reportedly with a broken leg, were said to be causing traffic issues in a parking lot near Woodland Park. An officer, however, said the ducks were moving along just fine.

It wasn’t that the people driving a red Pontiac Grand Am were doing anything illegal by taking photos of other drivers as they cruised Main Street, the caller said. It was what they might do with those photos that was worrisome.

Four or five people reportedly stood in the Fifth and Center intersection shortly before midnight and refused to budge for traffic. When one driver told them to move, they started pounding on his car.

One employee at a U.S. 93 South supermarket said two men shoplifted milk and beer. Other employees couldn’t verify it when officers arrived.

A woman hid out in the back of a Main Street business after an altercation with some people outside who reportedly threatened to blow up the business.

At First Baptist Church on U.S. 93 South, somebody broke out a window during attempts to enter the church. At a Somers Avenue home, it appeared to be more a case of criminal mischief than burglary, as several items were in plain view but were not taken.

Girls who tried to sneak out of a house at Second and Spokane drew attention, prompting a 4 a.m. call to police.

Columbia Falls police made a traffic stop behind a Nucleus Avenue bar about 10:30 p.m. Saturday and arrested a 37-year-old man for DUI.

It was beer that a 28-year-old man reportedly was trying to steal from a supermarket on U.S. 2 West when he was stopped and cited for shoplifting early Sunday.
