Flathead County sheriff

Following apparent friction between residents on Connelly Drive, a man called the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office to report that his neighbors were apparently retaliating against him by shining their vehicle lights in his windows around 2 a.m. Wednesday.

A two -vehicle accident left one woman with a bloody nose and bruised leg and a second woman with neck pain. Both were transported to Kalispell Regional Medical Center Tuesday afternoon.

Apparently drunk, a man showed up at his girlfriend’s parents’ Ferndale house. He reportedly told her that his truck was stuck in a ditch and threatened her. He also has reportedly stolen a significant amount of money from her. He departed on foot. Authorities towed the truck but were unable to locate the man.

A woman called authorities, reportedly nervous about two unknown men in her office building off Montana 35. Then the line went dead. When authorities were able to contact her, she said that the men were apparently looking for the building’s owner. She had calmed down.

A man and a woman reported as runaway juveniles were apparently two adults wearing backpacks who were walking from the Hartt Hill area to Libby Wednesday afternoon.

After hitting a power pole on East 13th street in Whitefish, a man walked into a nearby business and called authorities. He was later transported to North Valley Hospital. No power lines were down.

Deputies received 134 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Tuesday and 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Kalispell police

A man reportedly broke off a flag pole and started waving it around after telling a hardware store employee he needed an ambulance because his family had been attacked early Wednesday morning. Employees at the Seventh Avenue West location observed the man and told Kalispell Police he didn’t appear injured. He was left in the care of family members. 

The fax machine that accidentally dialed 911 twice Wednesday morning was finally unplugged. The business on Whitefish Stage where the machine is located is reportedly having trouble with its phone lines.

One woman was transported to Kalispell Regional Medical Center with unknown injuries following an accident near Three Mile Drive Tuesday evening. Two wreckers were dispatched to clear the crashed Honda Accord and Mercury Sable.

Screens had been removed from the windows of the library on First Avenue East and footprints were seen below them. However, loose change is all that has been reported stolen so far.

After his ex-wife apparently threw away gifts he gave his daughter, a man called police to report that if the woman wants to buy the daughter different things, fine, but to please return his gifts if that is the case.

Around 11 p.m. Tuesday, 911 dispachers heard a man and a woman yelling before the call disconnected. They dialed back and a woman answered, calling the man with her a “jerk,” alleging he came into her Windward Way apartment and tried to punch her in front of her children. The man then left. Officers arrested the 24-year old Bigfork man later that night on charges of partner/family member assault and tampering with a communication device.

Unknown persons reportedly entered the yard of an electric supply company on North Meridian Road through a hole cut in the fence. A roll of wire was stolen. Authorities are investigating.

An elderly woman apparently walking westbound in the middle of Second Street while carrying large bags was gone when authorities arrived.

Officers received 71 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Tuesday and 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Whitefish Police received 34 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Tuesday and 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Columbia Falls police

Columbia Falls Police received 9 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Tuesday and 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Alarms

The Whitefish Fire Department extinguished a small fire in an apartment on Colorado Avenue Tuesday night. Apparently an electrical unit malfunctioned and a small flame appeared. Authorities were able to put out the flame before it caused significant damage.
