Rep. Denny Rehberg, responding to concerns by the Libby Fire Department of possible overcrowding at the site of his Saturday listening session in Libby, has moved the venue to the Libby High School gymnasium.

The meeting is scheduled for 3 p.m. today to hear comments and concerns regarding Sen. Tester’s wilderness bill.

Steve Lauer, deputy fire marshal, contacted Rehberg’s office expressing concern that, gauging the large amount of interest by the community, the original site may not be a big enough venue.

Rehberg decided to move the meeting with late notice rather than have the fire department turning people away at the door. The original site seats 163, while the Ralph Tate gymnasium holds approximately 1,500.
