Canadian cyclist killed in collision
A head-on collision between a passenger car and a motorcycle Tuesday afternoon on U.S. 2 east of West Glacier killed a 53-year-old man from Regina, Sasketchewan.
The crash occurred at about 2 p.m. on a curving, two-lane stretch of the highway at mile marker 168, according to Montana Highway Patrol Trooper Roger Dundas.
Dundas said the Canadian man was driving a Harley Davidson motorcycle too fast going into the curve, causing him to cross the center line into the path of a westbound Chevrolet Impala.
The motorcyclist died on impact and the two passengers in the rented Impala, visitors from Cape Town, South Africa, were not seriously injured, Dundas said.
