Lakers rally by Twins
WHITEFISH — Kendrick Lee’s double in the top of the ninth inning cleared the bases to put Kalispell on top for good as the Lakers rallied past the Glacier Twins 6-4 in Class A American Legion baseball play Wednesday evening.
Lee’s hit with the bases loaded gave the Lakers a 5-4 edge. Nate Bengston followed with a single to score Lee and make it 6-4 Kalispell.
“We did a good job offensively, especially in the late innings,” Lakers coach Pat Conners said.
Kalispell had 11 hits to Glacier’s six.
Jacob Rogers homered for Glacier, a solo shot in the third inning to center field.
Kalispell improves to 5-5 in league play, 18-27 overall. The Lakers are tied with Libby for second place in the league.
