Loggers split with Bandits
CRANBROOK, B.C. — Libby split a nonconference baseball doubleheader with the Cranbrook Rocky Mountain Bandits on Thursday, winning the opener 5-3 while falling in the nightcap 6-5.
Rocky Mountain scored five runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to win the second game.
“Alex Cislo hit the ball really well today,” Libby coach Kelly Morford said.
“He was 5-for-6 with two doubles, a triple and drove in three runs.”
Eric Riddle and Micah Germany also doubled for Libby in the first game.
Libby (26-26 overall and 5-5 league) hosts Kalispell in doubleheader American Legion action Saturday starting at 2:05 p.m. Kalispell is 5-5 in league.
