Bailey wins State Men's Am title

BILLINGS - Nathan Bailey of Forsyth didn't have the best round of the day, but his 6-over 78 was still good enough to help him claim the 93rd Montana State Men's Amateur golf title at Yellowstone Country Club.

Bailey finished two shots ahead of Charlie Von Arentschildt of Deer Lodge. Von Arentschildt, who led the first two days of the tournament, closed with a 75.

Larry Iverson of Kalispell closed with a 76 and finished six shots behind Bailey.

Shawn Tucker of Whitefish closed with a 73 and tied defending champ Bill Dunn of Missoula and Brad Fox of Billings for ninth place.
