Tea Party rally set for Saturday

A Tea Party rally is planned Saturday in Kalispell’s Depot Park, with participants focused on the June 8 primary election.

“We’re getting ready for elections,” said Carol Barnes, one of the event’s organizers.

Barnes said the various Tea Party networks are not necessarily endorsing candidates, but participants are making their own choices and likely will show support for their favorites at the rally.

Some candidates for local offices will be at the event, she said.

The rally will start at 11 a.m. and continue through 2 p.m.
