Rape, kidnap case dismissed
Charges have been dropped against Kasey D. Kehoe, 27, the man accused of kidnapping and rape a month ago in Hungry Horse.
“This case was dismissed without prejudice,” prosecuting attorney Lori Adams wrote in an e-mail concerning the case. “After gathering all of the evidence and speaking with witnesses, including Mr. Kehoe, the evidence did not show that the sexual contact on the night in question was nonconsensual,” she wrote.
Kehoe had been charged with sexual intercourse without consent and kidnapping, both felonies, for allegedly pulling up alongside the alleged victim as she walked home from the Dam Town Tavern the night of May 16, and, along with another man, pulling her into the pickup, driving to a river access road and allegedly assaulting her.
Without prejudice essentially means that the case is dismissed at this time, but doesn’t preclude further legal action.
