Rally, monster trucks don't mix

At the fairgrounds, where there was, simultaneously, a Gay Pride rally at the north end and a Monster Truck show in the main grandstand, unknown subjects were apparently driving around the north end, tearing down signs and yelling obscenities around 4:30 p.m. Friday, according to a report made to Kalispell Police.

A woman came into a U.S. 2 West business Friday afternoon, reportedly accusing employees of stealing her wallet last week and making threats.

Hearing a protester preaching via megaphone near the main entrance to a North Meridian Road business prompted someone to call police around 7 p.m. Friday. Officers counseled the vocal subject. The next day, officers were again called to the same location to handle a similar complaint around noon Saturday.

Although a group of about 14 kids apparently busted a bunch of bottles behind the new swimming pool around 8 p.m. Friday, the glass was cleaned up and the situation was taken care of before officers were dispatched.

A woman apparently broke into a Ninth Avenue West residence Friday night and began throwing stuff out of the residence. It seems this in an ongoing problem.

When a Sixth Avenue East resident confronted a neighbor about spitting on vehicles after apparently catching the neighbor in the act, the neighbor began swearing. Officers responded and counseled those involved around 8 p.m. Friday.

An elderly man who appeared intoxicated was seen walking down West Wyoming, then turning onto U.S. 93. around 8:30 p.m. Friday.

Two men appeared to be smoking pot for quite some time inside a blue Dodge Ram along Liberty Street around 9 p.m. Friday.

Around 9:30 p.m. Friday, three men were apparently shooting at pedestrians from a black vehicle as it drove southbound on Main Street.

A First Avenue East resident has apparently been getting inappropriate e-mails.

After a man and his 16-year-old son got in an argument Friday night, the son took off on foot toward Airport Road. They later reconvened at the parking lot of a nearby baseball field, where officers met up to assess the situation.

The driver of a white Honda Accord was apparently opening the door and yelling obscenities at passersby along East Idaho around 11 p.m. Friday.

Employees were able to detain the man apparently trying to steal liquor from a Second Street East store around 1:30 a.m. Saturday.

Two young boys were seen apparently beating up a squirrel at a park around 1 p.m. Saturday.

After learning her husband was apparently having an affair with a 17-year-old, a woman called police Saturday afternoon.

Officers received 102 calls for service between 3 p.m. Friday and 3 p.m. Saturday.
