Man pulls gun on intruding dog

Kalispell Police got a call Sunday from a Liberty Street resident who said he had a gun trained on a Rottweiler cross that was in his yard, and if the dog got aggressive he was going to shoot. An animal warden arrived and took the dog to the shelter.

A resident on the 1500 block of Sixth Avenue West reported that a husky was in the yard, trying to eat his pet rabbits. The dog was retrieved by its owner.

A man, 31, was arrested at an Appleway Drive residence for a warrant from another jurisdiction.

A person staying at a hotel on East Idaho reported that a computer was stolen from her room.

After a traffic stop at Second Avenue West and 12th Street West two men were arrested. One man, 22, was arrested for drunk driving, driving with a suspended license and no insurance. The other, age 21, was arrested on a felony warrant.

Monday morning, a person reported that items were stolen from his Hawthorn Avenue apartment.

After several people called to report a van that was swerving and speeding on U.S. 93 South, the van was stopped and a man was arrested for drunk driving.

There were 55 log entries between 3:30 p.m. Sunday and 3:30 p.m. Monday.

The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office got a report Sunday of people “mud-bogging” with a four-wheel drive vehicle at the end of Pioneer Road, an area that the caller described as “frog habitat.”

In separate reports, a snowboard and skis and poles were stolen at Whitefish Mountain resort.

After a traffic stop at Montana 35 and U.S. 2 in Evergreen, a man, 39, was arrested for drunk driving, speeding and having no insurance.

Early Monday, a boyfriend and girlfriend who were having a verbal dispute at the Alpine Trailer Court near Whitefish were separated.

There was a report of a tire being stolen off a bicycle that was parked outside a bar on Central Avenue in Whitefish.

There was a report of an employee showing up drunk for work at a business on East Oregon Street outside Kalispell. The boss wanted him to leave, so deputies helped him do so.

Windows were reportedly broken out of a bus at the Whitefish Christian Academy.

There was a report of a garbage can being vandalized on the 200 block of Central Avenue in Whitefish.

A woman was caught shoplifting at a store on Montana 35 in Evergreen.

After a report claiming a mini bike was being driven in a reckless manner near Lakehills Court in Bigfork, a father and son were advised against driving it on city streets.

Sheriff’s dispatch had 147 log entries between 3:30 p.m. Sunday and 3:30 p.m. Monday.

After a traffic stop at Fourth Avenue West and 11th Street late Sunday, Columbia Falls Police arrested a woman, 47, for drunk driving.

There were 31 log entries between 3:30 p.m. Sunday and 3:30 p.m. Monday.
