After receiving threatening text messages from an unknown person, a woman called Kalispell Police Wednesday afternoon. She suspected it was her ex, against whom she has a restraining order. However, when officers contacted the suspect, they learned the texts weren’t intended toward the woman who was receiving them. The man was advised he had the wrong number.

A pit bull chased a woman near an East California Street residence around 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. The victim told police she didn’t intend to pursue charges. The dog was taken to a shelter the next day.

A woman told police another woman slapped her Wednesday night after she told a lie. Both women were counseled.

A 47-year-old man was arrested for disorderly conduct and criminal trespass after he, while “quite intoxicated,” fought with another man, used loud profanities and was generally unruly at a Seventh Avenue East North motel Wednesday night.

A man found sleeping in the north wing of an inn on U.S. 93 South around 9:20 p.m. Wednesday was asked to move along.

Unknown kids reportedly seen pouring concrete and attempting to build a skateboard ramp in the parking lot of a hardware store on U.S. 93 North left when employees asked them to. The hardware store said it doesn’t intend to pursue charges.

Two young girls wearing multi-colored hats and multi-colored coats were apparently throwing water balloons at people along North Meridian while yelling profanities.

Around 12:30 p.m. Thursday, an officer witnessed a young person toss a beer can from a vehicle near a fast-food restaurant on East Idaho.

Officers received 80 calls for service between 2:30 p.m. Wednesday and 2:30 p.m. Thursday.

Flathead County Sheriff’s deputies received a report of a woman apparently punching a man in the ear around 2 a.m. Thursday at an Evergreen residence. Investigating deputies found no evidence of an injury and said the intoxicated man was uncooperative. He was given a ride to his mother’s house.

After arguing with her boyfriend in a vehicle as it drove along Montana 35 Thursday morning, a woman had enough. The vehicle pulled over and she got out and began walking, calling deputies along the way. She was given a ride to the airport.

An 11-year-old Willow Glen Drive resident apparently assaulted a neighbor’s child around 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Deputies were unable to locate the man wearing dark clothing seen staggering in the middle of Airport Road around 8:50 p.m. Wednesday.

A loud party was going on Wednesday night along Henry Lane and a neighbor wanted the music turned down. The neighbor called back and canceled the complaint after the truck playing loud music left.

A Dower Draw resident noticed indications of an unwanted campground on the property around 2:30 p.m. Thursday.

Deputies received 80 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Wednesday and 3:30 p.m. Thursday.

Whitefish Police received 21 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Wednesday and 3:30 p.m. Thursday.

Columbia Falls Police received 26 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Wednesday and 3:30 p.m. Thursday.

Parents learned a 4-year-old had swallowed an unknown pill after she began complaining of a bitter taste in her mouth and said she felt dizzy. The child was transported from the Splendid View home to Kalispell Regional Medical Center Wednesday evening.

Columbia Falls Fire Department responded to a report of a truck on fire around 8:45 a.m. Thursday. They reported seeing smoke and very few flames and the blaze was soon out.
