Suspect escapes after early-morning robbery in Kalispell
A man is still at large after allegedly robbing an apartment at gunpoint early Thursday morning.
Around 2:20 a.m., a white male, approximately 30, wearing a black beanie hat, hooded sweatshirt and camouflage-patterned hunting pants, knocked on the door of a Glenwood Drive residence.
After looking through the peephole, a resident unlatched the deadbolt, at which point the suspect threw open the door.
The suspect allegedly punched the man in the mouth, then a second time in the body, dropping him to the floor.
The suspect then reportedly pointed a pistol at the man and his roommate, who was sitting nearby in a chair, threatened to kill them and demanded they tell him where they kept their valuables.
The suspect made off with a laptop, cell phones, a watch, knife, wallet, necklace and approximately $309 in cash.
The victims said the suspect made statements alluding to there being people outside waiting for him and kept opening the blinds and using a flashlight as if to signal them.
The unknown suspect left the residence on foot after about 20 minutes and is still at large.
Kalispell Police are investigating.
