Spotting what looked like a fire in the Swan Mountain area, a concerned resident called the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office. The apparent fire, which appeared to be on top of the mountain, did not appear to be changing in size. Authorities did not locate a fire and suspected the red glow seen around 2 a.m. Saturday may have been caused by the moon.

A woman was cited and released after she attempted to shoplift clothing and raspberry lotion from a box store on U.S. 2 East around 6 p.m. Friday.

Kids were shooting a BB gun along Foys Lake Road around 8:20 p.m. Friday. A neighbor was concerned they might shoot out a car window. Parties were counseled.

A man arguing with the bartender of a Lakeside casino Friday night was taken home by his sober wife before deputies arrived.

Pulling into her Harvest Lane driveway around midnight, a young woman was approached by an unknown man, who put his hands on the windows, claimed to know someone at the house, and later left. Deputies were unable to locate him.

Deputies were unable to locate the man heard singing “What’s On Your Mind” outside a bedroom window of a Bridge Street Residence around 3 a.m.

Unknowns shut off the power to a Bierney Creek Road veterinary clinic Saturday morning.

Deputies received 141 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Friday and 3:30 p.m. Saturday.

A group of several young teens dressed in “skateboard clothing” were reportedly yelling profanities at passersby along Second Avenue West Saturday afternoon. The teens apparently also accepted cigarettes from an adult. Kalispell Police counseled the group.

Two kids seen skateboarding along U.S. 93 around 5 p.m. Friday were later seen along Main Street. They were warned.

Three 14-year-olds were counseled not to run in the the street. They were seen darting in and out of Eighth Avenue West traffic around 9:30 p.m.

Kids seen digging cigarettes out of a U.S. 93 South convenience store ashtray Friday night left before officers arrived. 

Around 2:43 a.m. Saturday, an employee of a West Idaho gas station said a white truck had been parked near the back of the store, running, since midnight. Officers secured the truck and confiscated the keys.

A Fifth Avenue West resident registered a noise complaint after an aircraft flew over his house three times in half an hour Saturday around 11 a.m.

Officers received 88 calls for service between 2:30 p.m. Friday and 2:30 p.m. Saturday.

A woman holding what looked like a gun was seen near Edgewood Drive around 12:22 a.m. Saturday. Whitefish Police located the woman on Haskell Basin Road, but not the mysterious weapon. She was given a ride to Columbia Falls.

 A fight at a Central Avenue bar around 1:20 a.m. broke up before officers arrived.

Officers received 27 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Friday and 3:30 p.m. Saturday.

Columbia Falls Police arrested a middle aged Utah woman for felony DUI in the parking lot of a liquor store on Main Street 3:30 Saturday.

Officers received 16 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Friday and 3:30 p.m. Saturday.

After apparently backing into a Dodge Caravan with his Dodge Dakota near an inn on U.S. 93 South, a man got out of the vehicle, then passed out. He was transported to Kalispell Regional Medical Center with neck pain around 4:40 p.m. Friday.

Following an accident involving a half-ton truck and a Saab along Reserve Loop around 12:47 p.m. Saturday, a victim was transported to Kalispell Regional Medical Center with a possible broken arm.

A woman who complained of chest pain, but was conscious and breathing, was transported to Kalispell Regional Medical Center from an auto repair center on U.S. 2 East Friday night.

A 19-year-old woman with a knee injury was transported to Kalispell Regional Medical Center from a sporting arena on U.S. 93 North around 10:40 p.m. Friday.

West Valley Fire Department extinguished a grass fire near Aspen Ridge Road Saturday afternoon.
