Loud people, bonfire lead to arrest

Responding to a noise complaint early Monday morning at a residence on Fourth Avenue East North and California Street, Kalispell Police found people having a bonfire and ended up arresting a man on warrants from another jurisdiction.

A pink bicycle was reported stolen sometime over the last few days from a home on the 300 block of Fourth Avenue East.

A man who refused to leave another person’s room at a hotel on U.S. 93 South was counseled by officers to do just that.

A man reported that a woman he knew entered his house on Seventh Avenue West, took his wife’s purse and hit him before leaving.

Sunday evening, a woman reported that six males in a white pickup followed her from a Hutton Ranch Plaza store all the way to her home. She requested extra patrol in her neighborhood.

There were 56 log entries between 3:30 p.m. Sunday and 3:30 p.m. Monday.

The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office got a report Sunday of a man who had put a child in a dumpster on the 1300 block of Columbia Avenue in Whitefish. He returned about five minutes later to take the child out of the dumpster.

A woman reported that she returned to her home on Hughes Bay Road in Lakeside after spending the day in Kalispell, to find an empty house, with all belongings gone. The case may involve an ex-husband or boyfriend.

A man reported that he caught two people in the act of stealing items from a shooting range off the 3000 block of Columbia Falls Stage Road. They fled the scene.

A woman reported her 17-year-old son had just stolen her car after an argument at a residence on the 100 block of North Somers Road. The boy later returned with the vehicle.

A man reported that a man had shoved his wife at a gas station on Montana 206.

Monday morning, tools and equipment were reported stolen from a work site in the Ashley Creek area off U.S. 93.

Responding to a harassment report at a Braig Road residence in the Columbia Falls area, a deputy ended up counseling neighbors who weren’t getting along.

A construction worker caught someone in the act of stealing from a work site in the Bigfork area’s Saddlehorn subdivision. The perpetrator fled the scene.

Management at a Lakeside cafe reported that an elderly couple walked out without paying for their food.

A person reported a recent partner-family assault at a Conrad Drive residence.

There were 142 log entries between 3:30 p.m. Sunday and 3:30 p.m. Monday.

Columbia Falls Police arrested a man, 28, for warrants from other jurisdictions at a residence on Beth Road Sunday night.

There were 15 log entries between 3:30 p.m. Sunday and 3:30 p.m. Monday.
